Recycling sites

Service outline

There are about 550 local recycling centres across the borough where you can take your recycling. You can find them conveniently located beside the street, on estates and in some supermarket car parks. To find a recycling site simply view our interactive map and click 'recycling sites' from the left hand menu.

You can recycle paper, cardboard, glass bottles and jars, food tins, drink cans, aerosols, foil, and plastics at all local recycling centres. There are also a lot of centres with recycling bins for The following link opens in a new windowtextiles, clothes and shoes.

You can also recycle your food and drink cartons, like Tetra Paks, at Sainsbury's, Dog Kennel Hill, Surrey Quays shopping centre over-flow car park off Deal Porters Way, Tesco, Old Kent Road, Straker's Road Car Park in Peckham Rye Park and at the household waste reuse and recycling centre.

The materials are collected from the recycling bins at least once every week.
