Rubbish tip

Service outline

The Southwark reuse and recycling centre (RRC)  is located at 43 Devon Street
(off Old Kent Road), London SE15 1AL

The centre is free and open seven days a week:

1 April to 30 September, 8am to 8pm
1 October to 31 March, 8am to 6pm

The centre only closes on Christmas Day, 25 December; Boxing Day, 26 December and New Year's Day, 1 January.

If you are bringing your waste and recycling to the HWRRC in a van, you will need to bring two forms of ID to show you live in the borough: a recent utility bill or council tax bill, and your photocard driving licence.  You will also be asked to sign a declaration that the waste is from your own home and has not come from a trade or business.  If you are employing people to carry out work at your home, then you cannot bring their waste to the RRC.

If you are disposing of trade waste, you will need to pay a 'gate fee' (an amount per tonne of rubbish).
