Transport in Southwark

In recent years the increase in the use of the private car has had a huge impact on Southwark by increasing pollution, noise pollution, dirt and congestion, making it harder to get around.

Southwark Council are working closely with community groups, transport providers and other organisations to introduce new initiatives that will reduce the negative effect of car travel and promote more sustainable modes of travel like walking and cycling.
