Alscot Road 
Location
Although mainly a residential area, Alscot Road contains busy routes for vehicles and pedestrians. Located south of Spa Road, the area benefits from the location of the recently completed Spa Park.
Improving the road
The council recognises that there is a need to enhance the local street environment, as the area is close to major regeneration work around Bermondsey Spa which will bring more people into the area and place higher demands on the existing infrastructure.
The project team has held a series of walkabouts in order to understand what residents, councillors and officers feel are the main issues in their area. See the links below for an overview of the walkabouts.

Design workshop
A design workshop was held on September 22 2007 with local residents who came along to share their ideas for design and safety improvements in their area. These discussions and exchange of ideas will be the main driver for proposed improvements and will assist the project team in developing initial design proposals. Consultation
A comprehensive public consultation was undertaken in January 2008. The results of which are highlighted in the report. This report is available to view and is split into four parts
