Penalty Charge Notices
How to pay
The amount you have to pay is displayed on the penalty charge notice.
You are required to pay your penalty charge notice within 28 days of its issue date. Legislation provides a 50 per cent discount if payment is made within 14 days. If the PCN was issued for a parking contravention using a CCTV camera the 50 per cent discount period is extended to 21 days.
You can pay the charge in any of the following ways.
Online
 Pay online by debit or credit card, you will need the ticket number on the penalty charge notice and the vehicle registration number in order to complete the online payment.
Telephone, 24 hours
You can pay a PCN using an automated telephone payment line at any time. Please call 0845 600 0611 with the PCN number and a credit or debit card such as Mastercard, Visa, Delta and Switch. Please note we do not accept American Express and Diners. This service can be used 48 hours after the notice has been issued.

Notice to owner
If the charge is not paid within 28 days, a "notice to owner" will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle. If you receive a notice to owner you must either
- Pay the charge within 28 days
- Or make a formal representation to Southwark Council
The charge will increase by 50 per cent if you do not take either of these courses of action.

If you want to make representations or appeal against a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) do not pay it first.
