Local Implementation Plan (Lip)

Transport is one of the fundamental keys to health and prosperity. The local implementation plan (Lip) sets out how the council will work with partners over the coming years to coordinate and improve its transport services.
The plan itself consists of a main document and five complementary plans. Each additional plan is a focus on more specific transport issues and actions.

Funding local transport improvements in you area
Southwark's transport strategy was the joint 15th Lip to be adopted in London, approved by the Mayor of London on February 22 2007. This has helped the council secure the largest annual funding allocation for transport improvements to date.
For 2009/10 £4.5 million has been earmarked for safety schemes, cycle training, walking improvements, sustainable travel for schools and new 20mph zones. Find out more about how you can have a say on areas for investment in future years.
