Freight in SouthwarkDelivery and servicing is vital to the borough’s local economy. We need to be aware of the demands of vehicles arriving to load and unload, the pressing need to keep the traffic flowing freely, guarding the quality of life for local residents, and the overriding objective of maintaining a safe environment for all road users.
Parking and loading reviews
Southwark are looking to improve the efficiency, safety and reliability of freight operations, while minimising the impacts of freight. Parking and loading reviews have been undertaken on Southampton Way and Evelina Road this year to determine improvements for businesses and residents. The reviews included parking surveys and consultation with businesses to understand delivery patterns. The reports’ recommendations have been considered and are scheduled for implementation later this year. To find out more about these please contact David Moffat on 020 7525 2295.
Peckham map
Peckham is a bustling town centre that serves the shopping needs of many local residents. In order to ensure the safe distribution of goods, parking and loading restrictions are in place. To find out when and where you can park and load around Peckham, take a look at the parking and loading brochure (274 kb).
