Lip Annual Progress ReportEach year the council applies for funding from Transport for London for local transport improvements. This bid covers road safety, bus priority, bus stop accessibility, school travel and cycling and also specific area based projects where coordinated investment is needed.
Prior to 2006/07, the submission was called the borough spending plan. With the adoption of Southwark’s local implementation plan (Lip) the submission is now part of the annual progress report (APR). All proposals contained within the bid must directly relate to a scheme or programme identified within the Lip. 
The council submitted stage one of the APR on June 14 2007, which included a bid of £8.5 million for funding in 2008/09. The allocation announcement is expected in December. Details of the specific schemes can be found below.

Preparation will soon commence on the stage two submission containing the council's performance on its statutory targets, reporting on the delivery programme and monitoring reports. This is due in mid September.
