Improving Transport in your Area Each year the council submits a bid to help deliver the objectives and targets set in Southwark’s transport strategy, the local implementation plan. We received a record allocation of £5.34 million for in 2007/08. For funding in 2008/09 we have asked Transport for London for over £7 million in a document called the annual progress report (APR).
The APR process covers a large number of transport areas such as 20 miles per hour zones, school travel plans and cycling training. The funding also addresses local needs through safety schemes and accessibility projects.
