Making a Planning Application To make a planning application you need to supply
- the completed application form, application fee and all other information required by the national planning application requirements
- accurate metric scaled and dimensioned plans of the proposal
- a location plan outlining all the land to which the application relates
- a design and access statement where required
- additional information in support of the application as required by the council's local planning application requirements
The information to be submitted to meet the national and local planning application requirements will vary depending on the type of application you are submitting.

Design and access statements are required for most applications.
How to submit your application
To view the forms you will need Adobe Reader.
We would encourage you to submit your application online via the Planning Portal. You can make and submit most types of planning application and send us your drawings and other documents online. You can also purchase site maps on the Planning Portal.
