Before submitting your application please ensure that you have
- answered all of the questions on the application form
- provided all the information asked for by the national planning application requirements
- provided all the information asked for by the council’s local planning application requirements
- checked that the documents you are submitting comply with the advice set out in our general guidance notes
- calculated the correct fee where one is required. If you are submitting the application online this calculation will be done for you. Our planning application fees guidance note (pdf 128kb) provides further information on current fee rates. Please note that if you are submitting your application via the Planning Portal the council is currently unable to accept your fee payment online.
You can make payment by telephone on 020 7525 5403 using a debit or credit card or send your cheque by post quoting the application address and the Planning Portal reference number for you application.

The Department for Communities and Local Government Circular 02/2008 provides guidance on the use of the national standard application form, 1APP, and the new arrangements for the validation of planning applications.
