Charges, fees and costs
Southwark building control has a schedule of charges (pdf 150kb) outlining the costs associated with the processing of building control consent applications.
The charges for section 20 (fire safety in large buildings) or section 30 (temporary structures) applications can be found on page two of the relevant application form.
You must pay VAT on all charges, except charges for a regularisation application, even if work is to a listed building. VAT is currently charged at 17.5 per cent. To ensure that you pay the correct amount, we recommend that you contact us before making your application. We are happy to calculate the charges for you.
