Project team and governance 

• We have a strong team, with good depth and breadth
• The team is stable and committed
• Our major projects board will make decisions in a timely and efficient way
• Senior officers will be given the authority to make decisions during procurement for the long listing and short listing of bidders

Our project team includes staff from Southwark's major projects department, children's services department, and schools.

The Southwark client team includes

• ICT
• Change management
• Communications
• Architecture, design and construction

Our external partners are

• PriceWaterhouseCoopers, lead consultant
• Faithful and Gould, part of the Atkins Group
• Trowers and Hamlins, legal advisors

Contracts with our external partners include incentives to encourage timely delivery.

There are school project leads for each sample scheme and a third project lead for the other schools
plus three existing consultation forums

• Headteachers working group
• ICT steering group
• FM steering group

We work closely with other council areas, including planning, property and corporate ICT.
