Harris Boys' AcademyMore places for Southwark boys
There is a clear need in Southwark for more pupil places, particularly for boys. Southwark Council is strongly committed to providing these places.
- We fought hard for the past five years to find a solution that will give Southwark parents a Southwark choice
- We listened closely to parents
- We worked to gain the available government funding
- We negotiated with a sponsor to bring a federated academy to the borough and more boys' places
From this page you can access information about the proposal to build Harris Boys' Academy in East Dulwich.
We are pleased that Harris Federation of South London Schools is involved in this project, given its strong track record of delivering schools in Southwark. The Harris proposal will deliver what Southwark needs: more boys' places.
We strongly support it.
