Why work with us?
By becoming sustainable, a school can save money, improve the health, fitness and emotional well being of its pupils, and contribute to local, social and environmental goals.
O fsted recommends that schools:
- integrate sustainable development into development plans and ensure resources and training are available to support it
- identify a key person to manage and coordinate sustainable development within and outside the classroom
- give all pupils the opportunity to learn about and take an active part in promoting sustainability within the school and beyond.
We can help you achieve Ofsted recommendations stress-free.
E-bulletin and brochure
Email us to join our e-bulletin list to keep up to date with our work and find out about upcoming workshops, training days, competitions and events. We can also send you a copy of our brochure.
Consultation on the development of an Environmental Education Strategy for Southwark
Looking to the future, Southwark Council would like to develop an Environmental Education Support Programme for schools that reflects the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) Sustainable Schools Framework and the future needs of Southwark Schools.
Southwark Council is currently seeking input from schools, businesses and the voluntary/community sector about how Southwark Council can best support schools in achieving this.
We would appreciate it if you could spare five minutes to complete this questionnaire to help us to do this. Please respond by 31st October 2008. Schools that respond will receive an environmental 'goody bag’ of recycled pupil prizes and environmental education resources.
