The UK's largest drug and alcohol treatment charity offering specialist support to children and families suffering with addiction or the addiction of family members.

Street agency services provide advice, information, support and care plans for any Southwark resident experiencing difficulties with illegal drug use. Also needle exchange, referral to specialist providers and a range of welfare services.

The alcohol recovery project offers high quality care and support to anyone whose drinking or drug taking is causing them difficulties. Includes drop-in 'shop front', women and men only services, advice, counselling, day programme, group work, complementary therapy (acupuncture) and shiatsu.

Residential rehabilitation for female drug users - black women are especially welcomed, also women with children and women who are HIV positive and pregnant at any stage. Uses individually focused programmes and encourages women to use local community facilities. 

A range of holistic therapies is offered (including acupuncture, massage & aromatherapy) plus a full range of parenting assessments.

Information, advice and counselling services for lesbian, gay and bisexual alcohol users, and their partners, friends and families. Access to complementary therapies, basic literacy and innumeracy training. Next Steps project offers six week course designed to help people back into work or further education. Also provides consultation and training on alcohol issues for professionals.

Seeks to ensure that vulnerable women and men with alcohol, drug, mental health problems and forensic histories can lead full and rewarding lives in the community; that they have access to appropriate services, and are not excluded because they do not receive the help they need.

Equinox are experienced in providing a flexible response to people who are vulnerable, excluded, or feel overlooked by society and who have complex, multiple needs (often including housing).

A project designed to help drug users who are returning to the community after being in prison for a short period of time. Offers advice, assessment and access to one-to-one counselling and group work and liaises closely with staff and treatment providers within the prison service.

Ex-offenders are assisted with accessing other services in the area including treatment, training, employment and housing, so that they can start to lead a full and productive life.

An initiative chiefly aimed at the Asian community with the intention of increasing awareness and knowledge of the treatment services available, in order to improve access to these services. In addition, it aims to tackle the dependency on drugs and substances whilst taking into consideration both cultural and religious beliefs and values.

Phoenix House has a strong focus on the community where work includes initiatives to encourage a more open attitude when approaching the issue of drugs and substance misuse. This is largely to tackle the stereotypes and assumptions surrounding the drug users and usage.

For 14 - 18 year-olds with mental health problems including symptoms of anxiety, depression, agitation and obsessive-compulsive disorder. It is also aimed at young people who are deliberately self-harming, have a range of disorders including psychotic and food-related and those who are victims or perpetrators of all forms of abuse.

CAMHS provides a wide range of services, which include various forms of counselling both on an individual and family level, plus psychotherapy, cognitive therapy and family therapy. CAMHS also facilitates group work and outreach work and provides liaison and consultation with clients including medication. These are all aimed at reducing inpatient care by providing a programme that is created to cater for the individual needs of the client.
