Volunteering

teenage man in red t-shirt washing handsYou're unique. You can make a difference. It's just a matter of working out how. Whatever you're into, we can show you how your passions, skills and talents can make a real impact.

Become a y-volunteer

With y-volunteer, young people aged 16 to 25 volunteer some of their time to help others, doing what they enjoy.

Through the scheme they can get involved in local issues they care about. At the same time gaining experience, confidence and skills.

Volunteers can be involved in projects such as sports coaching, environmental issues, youth leadership, music and dance. It is also possible for volunteers to create their own project. No previous skills needed, just an urge to get involved.

What's provided?

The friendly y-volunteer team will offer advice and guidance when you need it, and also cover volunteering expenses if necessary so volunteering shouldn't cost you a penny.
