Creative Media Project

Creative media is the project for young people aged 11 to 19 that want to pursue a career in the media, or just want to have fun! We provide numerous activities, sessions, courses and opportunities.

Whatever magazine

Following the success of the Whatever website, we are now producing the Whatever magazine. Young people write the stories, do the interviews and provide the photography to get this bi-monthly magazine together.

Sound recording equipmentMusic

We have a fully equipped recording studio, rehearsal and classrooms. Our tutors have industry experience and have worked with the likes of LL Cool J and Terri Walker. Our evening sessions include open mic, song writing, music production, sound engineering and vocal training.

Young peoples' entertainments team

This involves running events, such as the annual Vibrations Festival, the Peckham Star Academy and Diva’s Day. Check out whtvr.org for music events in Southwark.

Young people from the project have appeared on BBC TV, Channel 4 and 5, Radio 1X-tra and have featured in numerous newspapers, such as The following link opens in a new windowThe Voice. They have met and interviewed celebrities such as Rio Ferdinand, Terri Walker, Ashley Cole and Sir Trevor MacDonald. We have also produced films and documentaries.
