Safeguarding Children Board Annual Stakeholders' ConferenceThe Southwark Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB) annual stakeholders' conference took place on Friday January 25 2008.
The conference was called 'Let's talk, keeping our children safe, every communities' responsibility'. It focussed on helping community organisations and services working with children and young people understand the work of the board and how the board can help these organisations safeguard children and young people. Young people held cafe conversations and the views of community groups and service users were sought on what 'staying safe' means and how local agencies and the SSCB can help them to safeguard children.
