Hospice Care

Children’s hospice services exist to help children who will not live to reach adulthood, and their families, with the emotional and physical challenges they face.

They welcome the whole family for a break together or time to themselves in a home-from-home environment, or offer care in the family's own home. They provide a diverse range of services including

  • Children's palliative care
  • Specialist respite care
  • Terminal and emergency care
  • 24 hour telephone support
  • Practical help, advice and information
  • Bereavement support for all family members

Children's hospice care is child and family centred, and always tailored to meet individual needs and wishes.

Working with families from all faiths, cultures and ethnic backgrounds

Children’s hospice services are committed to working with families from all faiths, cultures and ethnic backgrounds and fully respect the importance of religious customs and cultural needs that are essential to the daily lives of each family. Each service is an independent charity which relies on public support to continue their work.

Admission to hospices
