Organised Group Walks

Our walk is led by an experienced walks co-ordinator and provides people with an opportunity to take part in a healthy activity in a fun social setting.

It is free to take part in, so why not pop along and join in.

Location, meeting point, day, time, frequency and cost

Dulwich

  • Dulwich Park
  • Just inside College Gate entrance, Dulwich
  • Wednesday, 10am, Weekly, Free

Length of walk

The walk starts with a five minute warm up walk and then at least 20 minutes of brisk walking. This is followed by a cool down walk of about five minutes.

The people who already attend the walk are all at different levels so do not worry about the pace, there will always be someone walking at your speed and our walk leader will always be available to assist you.

Before your first walk

Please let us know if possible when you will be attending your first walk, so we can make sure someone is there to greet you.

For all walks

  • Make yourself known to the walk leader so that you can be added to the register
  • Please wear appropriate clothing that is comfortable and suitable for the weather conditions
  • Wear comfortable shoes
  • Do not wait until you are dehydrated to have a drink, keep yourself topped up
  • Keep personal items to a minimum. There may not be anywhere to store extra coats and belongings, so whatever you bring with you, you will be carrying
  • If you wish to leave the walk early for any reason please let the walk leader know before you set off on the walk that you will not be completing the walk
  • Remember your green cross code
