Disabled Living Foundation

The Disabled Living Foundation (DLF) is a national charity providing up-to-date information for people with disabilities and their carers. It specialises in information on equipment, continence clothing and footwear.

The DLF also has an equipment centre with a permanent exhibition of equipment that can be tried out and compared. They have information officers on hand to give advice and guidance. Visits are by appointment only.

British Red Cross

British Red Cross branches lend equipment to disabled people on a short-term basis, through its medical loan service. The loans are subject to availability. For some items they charge a refundable deposit. The loan itself is free but donations are welcome. For more details contact the local branch direct.
