Help with Transport
There are a range of transport services to assist those who have difficulty using conventional public transport.
Disabled people's travel pass or Freedom Pass
The disabled people's freedom pass, gives you free travel on buses, tube, trains, Docklands Light Railway and trams in London.
Older people's travel pass or Freedom Pass
The older people's freedom pass, is available to people of 60 and over and allows free travel on buses, tube, trains, Docklands Light Railway and trams in London.
Parking permits - blue badges
The blue badge scheme is a Europe-wide arrangement for parking concessions for people with severe walking difficulties, who travel either as drivers or passengers.
Free School Transport
Find out about free school transport. All children under the age of 16 can travel free of charge on all buses and tramlink services in London using an Oyster photocard. If your child can not get to school using an Oyster photocard, you can apply for a council travel pass.
