Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board (SAPB)
National guidance requires each local authority to establish a safeguarding adults partnership. The Southwark safeguarding adults partnership is a formal organisation. Members are from across health and social care agencies and service user groups.
The purpose of the Southwark Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board (SAPB) is to determine the strategy of the safeguarding adults work in southwark.

Aims
- To ensure that vulnerable adults in Southwark can live free from abuse
- To determine the safeguarding adults strategy, implement effective inter team working and ongoing publicity

Membership
The SAPB is made up of representatives from the following groups
- Strategic director of adult social services and chief executive of the Primary Care Trust (PCT), chair
- Carers
- Commissioning
- Independent sector senior managers
- Service users
- Statutory sector senior managers
- Voluntary sector senior managers
