Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board National guidance requires each local authority to establish a safeguarding adults partnership. The Southwark safeguarding adults partnership is a formal organisation. Members are from across health and social care agencies and service user groups.
Safeguarding adults partnership board (SAPB)
The purpose of the Southwark safeguarding adults partnership board (SAPB) is to determine the strategy of the safeguarding adults team.

Aims
- The SAPB aims to ensure that vulnerable adults in Southwark can live free from abuse
- That aim is being achieved through the safeguarding adults strategy, effective inter-team working and ongoing publicity

- Strategic director of adult social services and chief executive of the primary care trust (Chair)
- Service users
- Carers
- Statutory sector senior managers
- Independent sector senior managers
- Voluntary sector senior managers
