Estate Management Team

show estate team

Heygate's estate managment team has joined with the police and launched a specialist team aimed at managing the estate throughout the regeneration work.

The team includes anti-social behaviour specialists, tenancy and housing officers, youth workers, environment officers, and wardens as well as a police sergeant, two police constables and six police community support officers who are based on the estate.

The estate management team makes sure that the Heygate remains a safe and secure environment for residents as more and more people move off the estate.  They ensure that the fabric of the estate is maintained and also tackle the increased anti-social behaviour by ensuring that there is a regular high visiblility patrol of community wardens and police community support officers.

The team has been tackling a wide range of issues such as anti-social behaviour, repairs, cleanliness, untaxed and illegally parked vehicles, squats, and crack houses by carrying out regular blitzes on the Heygate.

Wardens and housing officers also visit residents to find out their views and any concerns they may have about the estate.

This community safety approach ensures that existing Heygate residents remain safe, as more and more families are moved off the estate, and blocks are closed down.
