Case Management Team

The case management team has set up an office on the Heygate Estate. By being based in the Old Dr's Surgery above the Heygate shops, they are easily accessible to Heygate residents.

The team is providing a lot of support to help residents move off the estate, and each case management officer has been allocated a patch of the Heygate. This means that each Heygate household has a personal one to one relationship with their case management officer.

Case management officers meet with Heygate residents to confirm their housing needs, provide assistance in bidding for properties on Southwark Homesearch, as well as attending property viewings with Heygate residents. All of these activities are designed to support tenants throughout the moving process.

The team also helps to link residents into other key council services, such as housing and schools. For those who require a bit more support, the team will also help people move GP or health service. This approach will try to minimise the stress as people settle into heir new homes.
