The economic development team supports the implementation of Southwark's employment and enterprise strategies in a variety of ways.

Southwark Alliance

Representing the council on employment and skills partnerships and enterprise partnerships of the Southwark Alliance. This brings together key delivery organisations to focus on the strategic needs of the borough.

Partnership with local and regional agencies

Working in partnership with local and regional agencies to support activities within the borough. Delivering support for local residents looking to

Supporting a wide variety of enterprise related projects to ensure good innovative business ideas develop and existing businesses in Southwark have support to develop.

The following link opens in a new windowBlack Business Initiative (BBI) and Seba Enterprise Forum (SEF) is contracted to advise and help Black and minority ethnic (BME) businesses start up, sustain and develop.

The Small Business Champion Scheme (SBCs) is also available to support people traditionally excluded from business who want to develop business ideas including women and ethnic minorities.
