Community Buildings Peckham Programme manages two community hubs in Peckham, the Sojourner Community Centre on Sumner Road and the Unity Centre on Peckham High Street.
There is also the SAFE shop near the library, which houses the Eternal Life Support Centre.
Sojourner
Sojourner is a base for training and statutory organisations supporting the community in Peckham. It houses
- 15Hz Studios, which offers music training to people aged 16 plus
- The NSPCC peer support team, which works with pupils from Oliver Goldsmith primary school and Peckham Academy
- Charity School Home Support, which works with carers and foster parents supporting children in Peckham
- Happy Faces nursery
- Southwark Refugee Project
- The Local Accountancy Project, which offers bookkeeping training to local people.
The newly refurbished Unity Centre houses
- The Youth & Connexions Service, which works with young people who are not in work or training to help them into employment or onto a vocational course
- Sure Start, which supports young parents and families in the Peckham area.
