Safety In ParksHow we are working to make your parks and green spaces safer
Community wardens
The wardens are the 'eyes and ears of the community' and are working to make our parks and open spaces places everyone can enjoy.
Southwark has four community warden teams that regularly patrol Southwark, Dulwich, Peckham and Burgess Parks and an additional 60 open spaces and smaller parks. The wardens are highly visible, and their presence helps to deter criminals and stop people acting in an antisocial way. The wardens work very closely with other partner agencies, to report crime and suspicious behaviour as it happens.
If you are concerned about safety in your local park, please call 020 7525 2000, or email environment@southwark.gov.uk If you would like to report a health and safety issue in a park you can contact us, or fill out and online Parks and Cemeteries problem report form.
