Peckham Rye Park and Common

Bridge in Peckham Rye Park

Peckham Rye Park and Common provides a pleasant refuge to both the local community and wildlife from the hustle and bustle of South London. The park has been recently restored to its former Edwardian glory featuring ornamental gardens, flowing streams, woodland and a lake, making it an ideal location to relax and take a gentle stroll.

Numerous sports pitches and play areas in the park and on the common cater for the more active, while the new 'Cafe on the Rye' provides the perfect spot for a refreshing pit stop.

You can also read more about the park's restoration here.

The Friends of Peckham Rye Park

The group was formed by residents to represent the views of the local community and help make a positive difference in the park. This includes campaigning and fundraising for improvements and organising community events. The group meet regularly to discuss issues that arise and keep members informed through a quarterly news letter.

Please check the park notice boards for meeting dates. You can also email the group at info@foprp.org or contact the park manager on 020 8299 0861.

For more information visit the Friends of Peckham Rye Park website.

The Young Friends of Peckham Rye Park

The Young Friends of Peckham Rye Park supports young people aged eight to 14 to become involved in their local park.
