Peckham Rye Park and Common
Peckham Rye Park and Common provides a pleasant refuge to both the local community and wildlife from the hustle and bustle of South London. The park has been recently restored to its former Edwardian glory featuring ornamental gardens, flowing streams, woodland and a lake, making it an ideal location to relax and take a gentle stroll.
Numerous sports pitches and play areas in the park and on the common cater for the more active, while the new 'Cafe on the Rye' provides the perfect spot for a refreshing pit stop.
You can also read more about the park's restoration here.
Green Flag award winner
In 2007 Peckham Rye Park won its first Green Flag award. The awards scheme recognises and rewards the best parks and green spaces in England and Wales.
