Library ChargesFines and charges from April 2 2007
- Books, talking books, spoken word and language courses are all free to borrow for a three week loan period
- Children's story tapes are free to borrow for a three week loan
If any of the above items are returned late, there is a charge of 15p per day up to a maximum of £6.
Registered disabled borrowers, borrowers over 60 and borrowers aged 17 and under, do not pay for the late return of books, talking books, language courses or children's audio.
There is a charge of 50p for replacing a lost or stolen library card.
DVDs
£3 for a one week loan. Selected older titles £1.00 for a one week loan. Late returns are charged at £1 per day, up to a maximum of £12. These charges and fines apply to all borrowers.
CDs
CDs, double CDs and CD sets are 80p for a one week loan. Late returns are charged at 15p per day, up to a maximum of £6. These charges and fines apply to all borrowers.
Games software
£3 for a one week loan. Late returns are charged at £1 per day, up to a maximum of £12. These charges and fines apply to all borrowers.
Requests
- 50p for any item in stock in Southwark Libraries
- £2.00 for any item not in stock in Southwark Libraries
- Free for borrowers aged 17 and under
Internet and word processing
A4 printouts
- Black and white 20p
- Colour £1.00
Photocopying
- Black and white 10p for A4, or 20p for A3
- Colour £1 for A4, or £2 for A3
