How Do I Join?
It's completely free to join any of our 12 public libraries. Anyone can join - you don't even have to live in Southwark!
- Simply complete and submit our online library application. Your library membership card will be posted to your home address within 7 days.

- Print and fill in a
library membership application form (144 pdf kb) and take it to your local library together with a single form of identity (ID) with your current address. Examples of acceptable forms of identity include rent book, driver's licence, utility bill, BT bill and bank statement. If you are under 18, a parent or carer will need to sign the form as your guarantor. To view the membership application form you will need Acrobat Reader
If you are registered disabled, please let us know at the point of joining as you are entitled to a range of concessions.
Your membership card can be used in all of Southwark's libraries so there's no need to join each one separately.
