Talk to our staff or check stock using our catalogue in a library or online.
All our libraries offer free access to xreferplus, the world's largest online reference service, offering access to 167 reference books from 36 of the world's leading publishers.
For complex research enquiries we recommend visiting Newington Library. We do not offer a specific research service.
Is it free to use the internet?
Yes, and it's free to use our computers for word processing but there is a charge for printouts. Book in advance at your local library or book online.
What can I expect when I visit the library?
You can expect knowledgeable and helpful staff and a friendly atmosphere. If you are ever dissatisfied with the service you receive, we promise a swift response with our customer talkback system.
What do you do with your old books?
Most libraries have a small book sale section. This is where library material that is worn or no longer popular is available to buy at discount prices. Older items that we consider may still be of occasional use are transferred to Peckham store. All Peckham store items are on the library catalogue and can be reserved in the usual way.
