Quality Assessment FrameworkThe Quality Assessment Framework (QAF) sets the standards that we expect in the delivery of Supporting People services. As well as setting these standards, the QAF also identifies the methods how data can be collected and achievements recognised. It is a practical tool for ensuring continuous improvement of our services.
Quality Assessment Framework core objectives
The QAF measures six core objectives that allow us to ensure that providers of Supporting People services are doing their job. The QAF also outlines a series of standards that enable each provider of the services to measure and demonstrate improvements in their service.
The six core objectives are
- Needs and risk assessment
- Support planning
- Security, health and safety
- Protection from abuse
- Fair access, diversity and inclusion
- Complaints
Detailed guidance on the QAF is available on spkweb.
Southwark also has an automated QAF that can be sent to you if you contact the Supporting People team. If you provide a Supporting People service, a contract manager within the team will contact you as part of the ongoing contract management process.
