AccreditationEach organisation that provides Supporting People services must be accredited against the following five criteria.
- Criteria 1: Financial viability
- Criteria 2: Competent administrative procedures
- Criteria 3: Effective employment policies
- Criteria 4: Robust management procedures
- Criteria 5: Competence / track record
Assessment of criteria
Southwark has joined together with Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth and Lewisham to coordinate accreditation across the six boroughs.
Exor management services have been contracted to provide an assessment of each organisation that provides Supporting People services. They will look at criteria one, two, three and four. Following this assessment, each local authority will consider how the employment, health and safety polices of the organisation are implemented. Local authorities will also take a view on the competence of the organisation to provide Supporting People services.
Accreditation currently lasts for three years. Providers in the South East London Group will be able to provide services in any of the six boroughs. We do not automatically accept providers who have been accredited outside the region without considering the methodology and process used in their accreditation.
Organisations that are interested in providing Supporting People services, who want to know more about accreditation or doing business with us should contact the supporting people team.
