About the ProgrammeOur services
Supporting people services help many people with different needs. All the services require housing related support to help the people who use them to remain as independent as possible.
Supporting people services are delivered in hostels, supported housing and sheltered housing, as well as directly to people in their own homes. This type of service is called floating support.
Our services are delivered by many different organisations including housing associations, charities and by the council. Private companies also provide services.
Currently, the Supporting People programme in Southwark provides around £17 million pounds per year, funding 60 different organisations through 100+ Supporting People contracts to provide 240 different services.

Our strategy
Decisions on the strategic direction of the Supported People programme are made through a partnership of Southwark Council, and the local health and probation services. Information on the programme is available on the Supporting People website - spkweb.
