The Resident Involvement TeamThe council's resident involvement team is part of the social inclusion division within the regeneration and neighbourhoods department. The team works closely with colleagues in environment and housing and most members of the resident involvement team are based in the borough's area housing offices.
The resident involvement team
- Helps tenants and residents get involved in decision-making
- Helps develop a sense of community in housing estates or areas
- Helps tenants and residents set up and run their own organisations (TRAs)
- Offers training and advice to TRAs to help them represent and work with everyone in their local community
- Provides services to local area housing forums, tenant council and leaseholder council
- Helps to make sure the consultation structure works
