Southwark tenants benefit from a raft of improvements to the repairs service

Southwark tenants are benefiting from a raft of improvements to the way repairs are carried out on their homes.

It is part of a drive to tackle what most tenants see as one of the biggest issues – the maintenance of their homes and estates.

Southwark has one of the largest housing stocks in the country, responding to 30,000 repair calls a month, and carrying out 150,000 jobs a year, so dealing effectively with work is vital.

Improving the repairs service is one of the nine key areas Southwark is focusing on as part of housing's commitment to changing for the better.
