Parking PermitsWe provide different types of permits for parking on estates. Estate parking permits are for residents who voted to join a controlled parking scheme.
The permits will be valid until the MOT runs out and may be renewed up to 21 days before the expiry date (early renewal is highly recommended).
A conditions of use leaflet will be attached for information. You must supply vehicle documents along with your insurance, driving licence and tenancy agreement. If you use a company vehicle, you must provide a letter from the employer to prevent any delay in processing the application.
Carers' permits cost £31.25 a year (but this cost is reviewed every year) and help residents who may need medical support from social services. To qualify for this permit, you must provide medical evidence and vehicle documents with the application form.
Any vehicle that fails to display a valid permit will be clamped or towed away immediately, depending on the type of enforcement vehicle available at the time of the offence. You must tell your area housing office as early as possible if you change your vehicle so that you can get a temporary valid permit to park on the estate and avoid enforcement.
Visitors to the estate must display a valid permit in the windscreen so that the enforcement contractor can see that the information recorded is correct.
If you make a mistake validating your visitor's permit card, you must fill in a new box. If you alter a permit, we will take action against you.
You must tell visitors and friends what will happen if they park their vehicles in a way that breaks the estate parking scheme. |
