Your Information & ViewsYour information
When discussing housing matters with you, we often need to ask for personal details about you and members of your family, and we sometimes need to discuss personal family matters that influence your housing situation.
We will treat some of the information you give us in confidence. However, we may need to share some essential details you give us with certain public organisations (for example, the Benefits Agency or the Inland Revenue). We will tell you what information we are likely to pass on.
You can ask to see the information about you that we hold on file or on computer. You must let us know beforehand and we may charge you. You should be aware that we can hold back parts of the information if it is sensitive and about other people.
If you are not happy about any information or an opinion that you have seen in your files, you can ask us to correct it, amend it or take it out. If we disagree with your request, you can insist that we add a note about your views to the records.
Getting your views
We try hard to give a fair and efficient service. We welcome customer feedback to help us identify strengths and weaknesses that will help us to improve the service. We carry out surveys from time to time to find out how well our customers think we are doing in various areas of our service. These surveys may be through phone interviews or postal questionnaires. Sometimes they will be face to face interviews carried out by appointed researchers, for example, Mori. We use the information from these surveys to improve and change how we provide services. |
