We are the largest local authority social landlord in London. Our housing department is committed to making Southwark a great place forall 45,000 tenants and homeowners to live. 

As your landlord, we can offer you support to keep you safe at home, help you pay your rent and make sure your home is warm and comfortable. Of course, we’re also here to help with pest control, cleaning your estate, parking and council tax.

Huge investment in the new repairs control centre and a commitment to getting it right first time will change the service for the better. Regeneration of large estates like Heygate and Aylesbury and new, affordable housing will provide a secure, environmentally sustainable and exciting future for those most in need.

Tenant consultation – changing the conditions of a Southwark tenancy

Are you a Southwark tenant?

If so, by the end of September, you will have received a letter and booklet entitled ‘Preliminary notice of the Council’s intention to vary your conditions of tenancy’.

This letter and booklet explain the changes Southwark is proposing to make to your conditions of tenancy. These changes will affect all Southwark secure and introductory tenants so it is important you take time to read it through.
