Get Scene Get Heard 07 Have you respect for yourself, others and where you live? What do you think about anti social behaviour and what do you want to do about it?
Respect and anti social behaviour
ReAct for respect is a forum theatre project run by the Safer Southwark Partnership about respect and anti social behaviour. It is designed to give young people a chance to have their opinions seen and heard about these issues.
From the 10 September Southwark's Safer Southwark Partnership and the London Bubble theatre company are working with young people in participating secondary schools in Southwark, to uncover the real issues and explore what respect means to young people.
Here are some examples of disrespectful or anti social behaviours the project might explore
- Setting fire to objects
- Littering and dumping of rubbish
- Reckless and illegal driving of mopeds
- Graffiti
- Harassment and rowdy behaviour
- Noisy neighbours
- Putting posters up illegally
Finale showcase event
Young actors from the schools taking part in ReAct 4 Respect will produce their own finale showcase event to have their voices heard by all. The audience will be involved too. Following the performances through the use of forum workshops, young people will be invited to take the place of the actors in exploring alternative outcomes, offering solutions and ultimately to hear the issues important to them.
This performance will then tour all participating schools.
Information about the showcase event will be released shortly. To find out more information visit the Safer Southwark Partnership website.
