Keeping Safe in Southwark
Weapons and violence - advice and guidance for parents and carers
The Safer Southwark Partnership has produced a guide for parents and carers that gives you the facts about the law and the consequences of breaking it in relation to guns and knives. The guide provides some advice on what you can do if you think your child is in a gang and some contact details for where you can go for support.

Simple tips to reduce your risk of crime

We have put togther some simple tips to help reduce your risk of becoming a victim of crime, including safety at home, personal safety, and safety on the street.
If you're concerned about racial violence, domestic violence or homophobic crime or anti-social behaviour, you will find some useful information and contacts.
Southwark residents tell us the crime and the fear of crime is one of their main concerns. We are working in partnership with the police, fire service, victim support, and other agencies such as the Safer Southwark Partnership (SSP) to tackle crime, anti-social behaviour and substance misuse.
We're aiming to make a real difference to people who live, work or play in Southwark. For more information about SSP activities visit the Safer Southwark Partnership website.
