Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy
Community Strategy
Our Community Strategy was published, following discussion and negotiation with partners. This strategy reflects the work of the many formal partnerships that already exist to tackle important issues such as health and crime.
The strategy supports the long-term vision of "making Southwark a better place to live, to learn, to work and to have fun" through a medium term action plan which delivers against the five strategic priorities.
It brings together the plans and strategies of the many partnerships and agencies across the borough and much of the work to support the five strategic priorities is articulated through those detailed plans.
It builds on and reviews the first Community Strategy for Southwark, which was agreed in January 2001. There is local commitment to keep the Community Strategy under review, in line with statutory obligations. By reviewing the Strategy the process for delivering community leadership can keep pace with the changing needs and aspirations of the Borough.
