On October 1 2007 the three equality commissions, Commission for Racial Equality (CRE), Disability Rights Commission (DRC) and Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), merged into the new Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Press for Change is a political lobbying and educational organisation, which campaigns to achieve equal civil rights and liberties for all transsexual people in the UK.
