Equality and Human Rights Commission

On October 1 2007 the three equality commissions, Commission for Racial Equality (CRE), Disability Rights Commission (DRC) and Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), merged into the new Equality and Human Rights Commission.

The websites of these commissions have also been incorporated into the new Equality and Human Rights Commission website.

Press for Change is a political lobbying and educational organisation, which campaigns to achieve equal civil rights and liberties for all transsexual people in the UK. Press for Change were instrumental in achieving the Gender Recognition Act for transsexual people in the UK and their website has information relating to employment law, health provision and education.
