Community Council Fund
More cash for your community
The 2010-11 funding round is now open for applications.
Southwark Council is calling all community groups and community minded residents to start bidding for £120,000 available through this year’s Community Fund.
Launched this week, the 2010 Community Fund provides grants of between £100 to £1,000 for community projects. Applications are considered by the borough’s eight community councils, which have £15,000 each for projects that will benefit the community.
Community councils encourage involvement from residents in council decision making and cover all sorts of issues, from safety to planning. The Fund is vital to smaller projects, which nonetheless make a world of difference to local people taking part in them.
