Don't forget that your councillor is your community representative

There are 63 councillors in Southwark - do you know who yours is and what they can do for you? 

Councillors are elected every four years to represent you, the borough's residents - so speaking directly to your councillor is a good starting point if you have a concern or a problem. Your councillor can act as an advocate on your behalf and is in a position to champion your cause for you.

Make your voice heard through deputations and questions

Did you know you can ask a question at an Executive or Council Assembly meeting directly to a councillor?

Many community groups have been using deputations and questions to make their voices heard for many years and these are often a very successful way of getting community views across to councillors and having a say in their final decision.
