Financial Management Services

Financial management services (FMS) is the central finance department.

It manages the council's finances and provides advice, guidance and assistance to council departments to ensure that the council makes the best use of its resources.

In line with this, the department's principal objectives are as follows

• To support the council in delivering its financial objectives
• To ensure that the council's financial strategies match its service ambitions
• To ensure that financial processes are robust and secure
