Picture of Health - Joint Outer South East London Scrutiny Committee

The Outer South East London joint health scrutiny committee reviews changes to the structure of NHS services that will affect local people.

Aims of the joint committee

The NHS is being restructured across the country so that it can meet future health needs. Services in outer South East London are being reviewed and the proposals for change will be scrutinised by the committee.

The councillors on the committee come from seven local authorities (Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Kent, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark).

Local authority health scrutiny committees can establish a joint health scrutiny committee with other authorities to consider and respond to health service proposals for the development of or variation to services that affect more than one local authority area.
